COVID-19 INITIATIVES
COVID-19 INITIATIVES [Home George's Safety Measurements]

Home George understands that during the summer season in 2021, convenience and flexibility are needed more than ever. In this sense, we know that our guests feel uncertain about long-term planning and bookings for their family vacation, summer holiday, or romantic gateway.
Therefore, should your plans change, we would be happy to give you a full refund if you cancel 1 day(24hours) prior to your reservation at Home George Apartments. In this way, you will avoid any cancellation fee of one night’s room and tax.

Future initiatives from Home George

Safety and sustainability are central for Home George. Therefore, we consider establishing an alliance with a reputable certificate body to guarantee the highest hygiene levels. For example, to better understand the initiative, NH Hotel Group and SGS have announced their collaboration on a global disinfection scheme.

Therefore, in 2021 Home George consider the benefits of obtaining an official certificate for sustainability compliance. After researching which would make the most sense for the property and looking at what associations, incentive institutions, and organizations are requesting, certifications to consider are:

✅ ISO 14001 Environmental Management System – standard followed by the European Commission’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme to identify, manage, monitor, and control environmental issues. It ensures the prominence of sustainability within the organization’s strategic processes and more significant input and leadership commitment.
✅ ISO 21401 Sustainability Management System for Accommodation Establishments – standard aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainability Development of the United Nations. It includes environmental dimensions as well as social dimensions that encompass the development of the local community. Moreover, it relates to economic dimensions, including prevention of accidents that could result from proper maintenance.
✅ ISO 50001 Energy Management – standards covering developing and implementing energy policy, setting archivable targets for energy use, and designing action plans to accomplish them and measure the progress.
